To video conference right now I'm using MSN messenger to send the video and skype to send the audio. This system works for the most part.
I generally have only one person on the line - sort of a video phone. But to conference, it might be better to use a service like this one:

I downloaded and installed the software. It asked me to choose an IP address - don't really know which one I picked, or why...
What a .... creepy, cool, .... something kind of a welcome message from Tim.
Click on the account and choose register....
It sends a confirm email. In the email there are two ways to authorize - an automatic way that downloads a file and a manual way that you have to copy and paste the code in. The automatic way didn't work for me. So, I recommend, the manual way. Pretty easy, standard stuff.
