The link to the job bank is good. The State of Alaska makes it a great resource for finding jobs - meaning, it is easy for employers to post opening there.

How much money should you bring? I don't know. If you are willing to rough it, not much.

Housing can be very expensive. I suggest a cheap monthly rental before you sign a lease. Or maybe roommates...

Where are you planning on moving to? Alaska is a huge state and the differences vary accordingly.
